Soft dough topped with melted vegan cheese and za’atar for breakfast? That’s the dream.
INGREDIENTS
- NOT™️ Mozzarella (shredded)
- 150 ml (two-thirds of a cup) of warm water
- 4 g (1 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 250 g (2 cups) flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Za’tar if you want to split into two
Instructions
- For the dough: add warm water (not hot), sugar, and active dry yeast to the bowl of a stand mixer. Let the mixture sit for approx. 5-10 minutes. Or add it to a bowl and mix thoroughly for 15 minutes
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil, then knead for approx. 5 minutes. Let the dough rise for around 60 minutes, or until doubled in volume
- As soon as the dough has doubled in volume, preheat the oven to 200°C/390°F (top and bottom heat)
- Divide the dough into four equal-sized pieces. Dust a working surface with flour and roll out each part of the dough until it’s approx. 1 cm/0.4 inches thick
- Transfer them to a lined baking sheet and use your fingertips to dimple the surface
- Top with some NOT Mozzarella spread evenly across – add on the other half
- Put on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes
